So obviously, the opportunities are only limited by your drive to succeed!

After completing year 1 of your Degree, you may use it as a pathway into year 2 of a three-year Bachelor of Applied Information Technology with La Trobe University. We also have relationships with Swinburne University and Melbourne Polytechnic which may offer you great further study opportunities.

You must complete year 1 of your Degree in 12 months. However, with the flexibility of online learning, you should achieve this comfortably.

Studying 25 hours per week on average (100 hours per month) should see you successfully complete your qualification within this timeframe. All assessments must be completed within the 12-month time limit.

You only need to complete our Pre-enrolment Assessment and have a chat with one of our Career Consultants who will advise and guide you on the best path to help you achieve your IT success.

To enrol you will need to provide some personal details and documentation proving your identity, age and citizenship/residency.

You Career Consultant will help you through the enrolment process.

As a Permanent Resident, you are eligible for the Government’s CSP (Commonwealth Supported Place) funding. CSP is a Government grant to assist with your study. You do not have to pay this back to the Government. However, any shortfall between the CSP grant and the total course cost, must be self-funded.

Students who have studied at tertiary level elsewhere, or who have relevant studies or work experience, may be eligible for advanced standing (credit) towards a La Trobe University qualification. Advanced standing enables you to complete your Degree earlier, reduce your study load and/or take on additional qualifications. We can provide you with more details about the process for advanced standing at enrolment (advanced standing is similar to recognised prior learning).

Year 1 of your IT Degree gives you a huge employability advantage with built-in Vendor Certifications. After completing year 1 you can postpone your studies and get an entry-level IT role in the IT industry.

Alternatively, you can complete the Bachelor of Applied Information Technology and access the many job opportunities available.

You will be offered as much support as you require. You can contact our Academic Team as frequently as you need. You will also be required to join virtual classrooms and Skype sessions with your Academic Team.

Yes, group projects and peer-to-peer support are key parts of your learning experience. This can be accessed through student forums as well as scheduled online group projects and tasks. These are organised through your Learning Management System (LMS) and our private student Facebook page and Skype.

To get the most out of this exciting online experience, we recommend you equip yourself with the right tools for the job before you commence your studies.

The La Trobe University Bachelor of Applied Information Technology is delivered online by Didasko – one of Australia’s most experienced online educators. When you successfully complete your studies, you will attain a La Trobe University Diploma of Applied Information Technology (year 1), a La Trobe Associate Diploma of Information Technology (year 2) or a La Trobe Bachelor of Applied Information Technology (year 3).

The Melbourne Campus is a an authorised Pearson VUE Test Centre which you can use to sit your Vendor Certification exams.

If this isn't convenient, we will provide a voucher that allows you to sit the Vendor Certification at any registered testing centre in Australia. Both Prometric and Pearson-VUE have online tools that allow you locate a testing centre near you and schedule an appointment. When booking the appointment you use the provided voucher as it will cover the costs of the exam.
